Who are our supporters and opposers?

Everything that we use on a day to day basis has some connection to the ocean. Without the ocean, we could not breathe, drink, or even create the items we use every day. So we believe that the issue of ocean pollution should be addressed as soon as possible. We call everyone to take a stance and try to reduce pollution.

Our supporters can be anyone from the general public, especially people who rely on the ocean and marine life for their livelihood. People who live near the ocean are heavily impacted by the increasing ocean pollution and marine debris. Majority of these toxic waste products come from human activities which then make their way to the backyard of people living near the coast. Many fishermen who rely on marine life are greatly affected by the increasing ocean pollution. They are not able to catch the fish they need and the waste products also damage their fishing gear.

The opposers for our camping are factory owners who rely on the ocean to get rid of harmful waste. There are many big factories who dump a large quantity of waste in the ocean. They do this to save the time and money needed to properly dispose of their waste. They don’t want the general public to take notice of their actions and are scared that this might force them to stop dumping waste in the ocean.
